In the past decades, there have been waves of reports saying that lipsticks contain dangerous amounts of lead. Even today, some people stick to this claim. However, the American Cancer Society have dismissed such reports.
Lipsticks are safe! Back in the day, color additives were produced from coal tars that contain high amounts of lead. Today, almost all pigments now come from petroleum, which the FDA certifies each batch. So don’t fret, lipsticks are here to stay!
